Getting started
Lucid Mail needs an iPhone with iOS 18 or later and a Gmail account. Open the app, sign in with Google and allow access to Gmail.
During the beta, Google may show “Google hasn’t verified this app.” Lucid Mail is in Google’s review. Tap Advanced, then Go to Lucid Mail, to continue.
New mail alerts don’t arrive
- In the iPhone’s Settings, open Lucid Mail and check that Notifications are allowed and Background App Refresh is on.
- In Lucid Mail, open Settings › Notifications and check that New mail alerts and Background mail refresh are on.
- If you swipe Lucid Mail away in the app switcher, or Low Power Mode is on, iOS may hold background checks until you open the app again.
An account says “Needs reconnecting”
Open Settings, choose the account and tap Reconnect Gmail. When Google asks, allow access to Gmail.
Removing an account or your data
Open Settings, choose the account and tap Remove account. Your mail stays in Gmail. See the Privacy Policy for everything the app stores and how to delete it.
Beta feedback
